I fell in love with the wild animals with rainbow backgrounds as soon as I saw the images and knew that I needed to make something that I could have out all year round.
I applied a rainbow of colours to a wooden pencil pot and then one component crackle with white paint as the last layer before adding images from AA-HT-RP-ANIMALS-01 to the four sides using decoupage glue and varnish.
To complete the pot moulds cast from air dry clay were applied around the edges, painted white and the detail highlighted with gold wax.
Now I just have to decide what I will put into the pot, probably pens and pencils to sit next to my computer :)
