I wanted to use the beautiful rice paper with the scene with the book from AA-TOMAF-RP-01
in a way that was completely different and gave the impression of a home within a tree in the forest.
For this make I used the reverse decoupage technique ahering the image on the back of an old glass bottle and then a scene created over it to look like a door in the bottom of a tree. Resin florals were then added around the tree in keeping with the woodland concept.
For the front of the bottle I made a large frame from clay and created a window to look into the bottle so that I can still admire the rice paper.
I really like how this piece came together and it now sits on my fireplace for me to look at every day
