Forest album by Gill Humphrey

Hi

I really loved the green tones of the Tales of moss and Fern collection as it spoke to me of English woodlands and the little people tradition says inhabit the forest and so I decidied I would use the AA-TOMAF-07, AA-TOMAF-07 and AA-TOMAAF-10 paper sets to create a trifold folio with pockets to hold photos of trips to our local woods.
The base of the project was made by using greyboard covered in black cardstock with a 2.5cm spine to the right and 1.8cm spine to the left. When the folio is opened out 1cm deep pockets were added to each of the folio panels. Having constructed the base of the book each piece was decorated using a combination of the 12 x 12 and 8 x 8 papers with fussy cut elements added for extra detail and a little chunky glitter for some sparkle.

Inside the first pocket is a small accordion folded card with lots of space for photos. In the central one is a paper wallet containing two tags and in the 3rd there is a simple cfolded card with a pocket on the inside holding a tag and then an additional tag.

Careful cutting of the papers allows the focal imagery on the 12 x 12 papers to play a key role in each of the elements so that their beauty can be admired fully. The scattering of chunky green glitter looks like grass on the forest floor and like leaves/ivy hanging down from the tree canopy of the forest.

Regards, Gill
