Morze ma dziwną właściwość. Zabiera zmęczenie, zostawia sól na skórze i sprawia, że zwykłe chwile po latach wydają się najcenniejsze. Może dlatego wracamy do niego tak chętnie. Nie tylko na plaże, ale przede wszystkim do wspomnień. Kiedy tworzyłam ten album, nie myślałam o idealnie dobranych dodatkach. Chciałam uchwycić to uczucie, które pojawia się tuż przed zachodem słońca, kiedy wszystko zwalnia, a jedynym dźwiękiem jest szum fal. Trochę piasku, odrobina rdzy, muszle znalezione podczas spaceru, błękit nieba odbijający się w wodzie i światło, które mieni się na falach. Z takich drobiazgów powstała ta opowieść. Bo wspomnienia nie zawsze mają wielkie znaczenie. Czasem są ukryte w zapachu morskiego powietrza, w kamyku schowanym do kieszeni albo w zdjęciu, do którego wracamy po latach z tym samym uśmiechem. Mam nadzieję, że ten album będzie właśnie takim miejscem. Takim, do którego będzie się wracać nie po to, żeby obejrzeć fotografie... ale żeby jeszcze raz poczuć lato...
The sea has a strange quality.
It washes away your tiredness, leaves salt on your skin, and makes ordinary moments seem the most precious years later on. Perhaps that’s why we return to it so eagerly.
Not just to the beaches, but above all to the memories.
When I was putting this album together, I wasn’t thinking about perfectly matched embellishments.
I wanted to capture that feeling that comes just before sunset, when everything slows down and the only sound is the murmur of the waves.
A bit of sand, a touch of rust, shells found on a walk, the blue of the sky reflected in the water, and the light shimmering on the waves. This story was born from such little things.
Because memories don’t always have great significance.
Sometimes they’re hidden in the scent of the sea air, in a pebble tucked away in your pocket, or in a photo you return to years later with the same smile.
I hope this album will be just such a place.
A place you’ll return to, not just to look at the photos… but to feel summer all over again…
