Shadow Box “In the Library”
I love projects that are not only beautiful but also practical and useful. That’s why this time I created a shadow box inspired by the atmosphere of an old library – a project that could make a unique gift for a teacher, a book lover, or anyone who loves the magic of paper and beautiful details. 📖✨
The whole project is based on the “In the Library” collection by Alchemy of Art. It is one of those collections that practically tells you how to create something special. Library interiors, shelves filled with books, vintage illustrations and a beautiful, muted colour palette create the perfect background for a dimensional project.
I especially love using the additional element sheets from the collection. They offer so many possibilities – you can cut out, layer and combine different motifs and, most importantly, personalize the project. Even when working with the same collection, you can create completely different compositions.
And because paper is only the beginning for me… 😉, I also added plaster casts, which brought extra dimension and character to the project. The composition was completed with cotton flowers, adding a touch of softness and beautifully contrasting with the more sophisticated, vintage library atmosphere.
On the cover, I added a symbolic lock and key – as if this little shadow box were hiding a story of its own. 🔑

Uwielbiam projekty, które nie tylko pięknie wyglądają, ale mają też praktyczne zastosowanie. Dlatego tym razem powstał shadow box w klimacie starej, pełnej tajemnic biblioteki – projekt, który może być wyjątkowym prezentem dla nauczyciela, miłośnika książek albo każdego, kto kocha magię papieru i pięknych wnętrz. 📖✨
Bazą całego projektu jest kolekcja „In the Library” od Alchemy of Art. To jedna z tych kolekcji, które właściwie same podpowiadają, jak stworzyć coś niezwykłego. Biblioteczne wnętrza, regały pełne książek, stare ilustracje i stonowana kolorystyka tworzą idealne tło dla przestrzennego projektu.
Szczególnie lubię korzystać z arkuszy z dodatkowymi elementami do kolekcji. Dają one ogromne możliwości wyboru – można wycinać, warstwować, łączyć poszczególne motywy i przede wszystkim personalizować projekt. Dzięki temu nawet pracując z tą samą kolekcją, można stworzyć zupełnie różne kompozycje.
A ponieważ papier to dla mnie dopiero początek… 😉, pojawiły się również odlewy z gipsu, które dodały projektowi przestrzeni i charakteru. Całość uzupełniły bawełniane kwiaty, nadając kompozycji odrobinę miękkości i przełamując surowy, biblioteczny klimat.
Na okładce znalazło się miejsce na symboliczny zamek z kluczem – jakby ten niewielki shadow box skrywał własną historię. 🔑
Lubię takie projekty najbardziej – dekoracyjne, ale jednocześnie praktyczne i możliwe do wykorzystania jako wyjątkowy prezent. A shadow box może przecież później stać się ozdobą półki, biurka czy biblioteczki i przez długi czas przypominać o osobie, która go podarowała.
