Mam wrażenie, że w tym roku zupełnie pominęłam jesień… Zamiast spokojnie przejść przez jesienne kolory, dynie i liście, postanowiłam najwyraźniej zrobić sobie mały skrót i od razu przenieść się w świąteczny klimat.
I tak powstała kolejna strona mojego art journala - tym razem pełna różu, świątecznej magii, choinek, poinsecji i oczywiście… Świętego Mikołaja.
Przy tej pracy postawiłam na prostotę. Cała kompozycja powstała przede wszystkim z wykorzystaniem rub-onsów Alchemy of Art oraz odrobiny mediów. I muszę przyznać, że jestem nimi absolutnie zachwycona!
Rub-onsy są przepiękne, mają mnóstwo szczegółów i fantastycznie sprawdzają się w art journalu. Co więcej, bardzo łatwo można je delikatnie „oderwać” od folii, dzięki czemu nie muszą być idealnie przyklejone do płaskiej powierzchni. W tej pracy wykorzystałam je zarówno jako główne elementy kompozycji, jak i drobne detale budujące tło.
Dodałam tylko trochę mediów i kilka papierowych poinsecji, żeby nadać całości bardziej art journalowy charakter i połączyć wszystkie elementy w jedną spójną historię.
A przesłanie? „Believe” i „Feel the Magic of Christmas” mówią chyba wszystko.
Bo przecież magia świąt zaczyna się właśnie wtedy, kiedy pozwolimy sobie znowu uwierzyć w odrobinę niezwykłości.
A Wy? Też macie już ochotę na święta, czy jeszcze mocno trzymacie się jesieni? 😄

I have a feeling that this year I completely skipped autumn… Instead of slowly moving through autumn colours, pumpkins and leaves, I apparently decided to take a little shortcut and jump straight into the Christmas season.
And so, another page in my art journal was created - this time filled with pink, Christmas magic, Christmas trees, poinsettias and, of course… Santa Claus.
For this project, I decided to keep things simple. The whole composition was created mainly using Alchemy of Art rub-ons and just a little bit of mixed media. And I have to admit - I am absolutely in love with them!
The rub-ons are beautiful, full of amazing details and work wonderfully in an art journal. What’s more, they can be gently lifted from the film quite easily, which means they don’t have to be perfectly adhered to a completely flat surface. In this project, I used them both as the main elements of the composition and as little details adding interest to the background.
I only added a little bit of mixed media and a few paper poinsettias to give the page more of an art journal feel and bring all the elements together into one cohesive story.
And the message? “Believe” and “Feel the Magic of Christmas” pretty much say it all.
After all, the magic of Christmas begins when we allow ourselves to believe in a little bit of wonder again.
